PPAP

JC Grand's processes and staff are fully equipped to follow the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) on customer orders, and provide all necessary documentation.

PPAP is used in the supply chain to establish confidence in component suppliers and their production processes, by demonstrating that all customer engineering design record and specification requirements are properly understood by the supplier and that the process has the potential to produce product consistently meeting these requirements during an actual production run at the quoted production rate. The use of PPAP is especially prevalent in sourcing of automotive parts, but the concepts are broadly applicable across industries.

By default, JC Grand follows many principals outlined in PPAP, since in most cases, they represent best practice for manufacturers. Organizing the documentation requires staff time, and therefore, we typically charge a small per-item surcharge for this service.

PPAP elements that JC Grand can provide include:

  1. PFMEA
  2. Control Plan
  3. Measurement System Analysis Studies
  4. Dimensional Results
  5. Records of Material / Performance Tests
  6. Initial Process Studies
  7. Qualified Laboratory Documentation
  8. Appearance Approval Report
  9. Sample Production Parts
  10. Master Sample
